Funeral services for Jack E. Post, 82, of Owasso will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 14, 2006 at First Baptist Church in Owasso. Dr. Roger Ferguson will officiate. Committal and interment services will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.

Post was born May 27, 1923 to Edward Garret and Gladys Marie (Martindale) Post in Curtis. He died April 11, 2006 in Tulsa. He was reared and educated in Logan, Kan. He attended high school in Centralia. He was a veteran of the armed forces, having served his country honorably with the U.S. Army Air Corp.

He married Wahletka (Thompson) Post on July 4, 1945 at the First Baptist Church in Vinita. He worked for American Airlines as an aviation/aircraft maintenance foreman supervisor. He was a member and served faithfully at First Baptist Church in Owasso. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes, including traveling with the Good Sams Club and camping in his RV.

Survivors include his wife, Wahletka of the home; four children, Carl Post and wife, Linda, of Owasso, Carol Wright and husband, Phil, of Tulsa, Randy Post and wife, Patti, of Claremore and Gary Post and wife, Cynthia, of Meridian, Miss.; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Don Post and wife, June, of Kimberly, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Maxine Huyser; and one brother, Tommy Post.

Serving as casket bearers will be grandsons, Jason Post, Justin Post, Andrew Post, Tyler Post and Erich Dikeman.
