Had Power Lines Down Blocking Highway 169
About 11pm Saturday June 4th
Just after listening to the Tulsa TV weathermen talk about unsual microburst and lines down in Tulsa. I could hear the strong winds buffeting Collinsville about 11pm Saturday June 4, 2005. Shortly after that, I heard the report of a tree down here at 13th and Exchange. That tree (shown in these photos) fell from the former Washington Elementary school yard across the fence and blocked most of 13th Street. It missed the power lines and other than the fence did no apparent damage. |
The new (unfinished) roof on City Hall was slightly damaged by the winds Saturday as several pieces of the sheet metal were removed or re-arranged. Even a portion of the old sheet metal on the back side of the east top facing was flipped over the top as seen in the day-after photos below. (Previous Coverage) |
