Tulsa Had Power Lines Down Blocking Highway 169

About 11pm Saturday June 4th

Just after listening to the Tulsa TV weathermen talk about unsual microburst and lines down in Tulsa. I could hear the strong winds buffeting Collinsville about 11pm Saturday June 4, 2005. Shortly after that, I heard the report of a tree down here at 13th and Exchange. That tree (shown in these photos) fell from the former Washington Elementary school yard across the fence and blocked most of 13th Street. It missed the power lines and other than the fence did no apparent damage.
My neighbor (on Spring Street) was out Sunday morning working to clear the large limb down in his yard from the strong winds Saturday night. -- Ted
The new (unfinished) roof on City Hall was slightly damaged by the winds Saturday as several pieces of the sheet metal were removed or re-arranged. Even a portion of the old sheet metal on the back side of the east top facing was flipped over the top as seen in the day-after photos below. (Previous Coverage)
The odd looking "eye" on the front of Angie's County Salon (from a previous building occupant) was also blown down Saturday night at 1120 W. Main.
