Collinsville
Rural Fire Dept. Responded Monday Afternoon

The Collinsville Rural Fire Department was called to a car fire in the 160th block of 113th East Ave. about 5pm Monday June 27, 2005. The owner of the car reported the vehicle had been parked for about an hour when she heard a loud bang and then discovered her car in flames. The unhappy owner also reported she only had liability insurance on the car. The flames also caused minor damage (warped siding) to the portion of her home just 2-3 feet from the front of the car.
