Early Results -- These were the 17 teams' standings after the opening round of wrestling Friday at Collinsville. All the photos on this page were taken Friday evening in the 2nd session at CHS so the numbers don't reflect any of these bouts.
Collinsville's Jerry Harker (in red at 112 pounds) checks the clock while beating his Vinita opponent (Dustin McDaniels) 11-2. Jerry had already beaten opponents from Wagoner and Stillwelll to reach this round
3 mats were kept busy with hundreds of bouts Friday in the Collinsville High School gym.
Collinsville's David Conover (in light blue at 275) lifts Rese Renfro of Bristow on the way to a 5-2 win Friday. David had a opening round loss to D. A. Smith of Mannford
Collinsville's Daniel Walker (in blue at 130 pounds) defeated Dustin Menke of Blackwell above. In earlier bouts Daniel had wins against Jay and Oologah (Tyler Price).
Twice Friday evening the Collinsville coaches had to split their attention as they had wrestlers on 2 mats at once. Clint Swango (in light blue at 140 pounds) pinned Tommy Rogers of Poteau as Travis Rule (in red on the far mat) was also wrestling. Clint already had wins over Mannford and Webster.
Collinsville's Travis Rule (in red at 145 pounds) had a close bout with Dusty Hart of Berryhill but came up on the short end of a 5-7 score. Travis had earlier wins over Cleveland and Stillwell.
