All-Conference Basketball:
Ramsey Kaddoura &
Tyler Chronister
The track team was stretching Monday Feb. 28, 2005, to get ready for their season as the wrestling team was putting their mats away for the year.
With the end of the 2005 basketball season CHS junior Amanda Allen (far right) will say goodbye to 5 seniors (L-R) Naomi Nelson, Amber McElroy, Erica Holly, Emilee Dutton (and Crystal Schults not present), but will be joined next year by the many sophomores who gained experience this year in their team's 15 wins under first year Coach Arlin Stacy.
These senior boys finished their CHS basketball careers last week. They are (L-R) Ramsey Kaddoura, Adam Moore, J.W. Purtle, Brett Smith (and P.J. Robinson not present). Coach Ken Chronister announced that Ramsey and Tyler Chronister had been named to the All-Conference team.
CHS wrestling team acknowledgements -- Coach Mike Henry said he may never see a more talented and determined collection of wrestlers as he had this year. The team (State 3A Runner-Ups) will lose seniors Daniel Walker, J.T. Coggins, Travis Rule, Jordan Scruggs, Davie Henry, Josh Allen, and Joe Sanders. Two junior state champs will be returning (Jerry Harker and Clint Swango) to provide leadership for next year.
Cheerleading Sponsors Cara Plumlee and D. Myers introduced the basketball and wrestling cheerleading squads. They will be losing seniors Nichole Phelps, Allyson Smith, and Jayme Howard.
Coach Howard Ray introduced thirteen 9th grade basketball girls. Coach Ryan Christian acknowledged the 9th grade boys and JV basketball teams. M. Garrett had the 9th grade cheerleaders. CHS Coach Chronister noted the 7th & 8th grade conference champs in basketball coming up soon.
Partial CHS wrestling stats:
The 2005 Dual record was 10-3 with two loses to State Champs Cushing and another to a 4A School. Collinsville hosted three wrestling tournaments here this year which took many volunteers. Assistant coaches were Jon Benham and John Hall.
