The brick front on the Fire/EMS building continues to go up this week (related story). The interior blocked portion of the building (below) can eventualy serve as a safe room for tornados as the walls are reinforced ... if I recall an add-on to the bid correctly. The Library (across the street) is the community safe room at present. -- Ted

For mystery #6, I want you to tell me which three (3) Collinsville Streets you would have to cross to get from where I took the photo to reach the front door of the "Newspaper Museum In Collinsville" at 1110 W. Main. (Already have 4 correct emails in just a few hours) ... again just for fun as I still don't have a contest sponsor.
Winners: "Mystery Man", Kelly Wathor, Elizabeth Sullivan and Susan Catlett.
Streets: Center, 12th and Main
Bonus question: What was 12th Street's name before the north-south street were numbered?
Kelly Wathor has answered the bonus correctly using the City Hall Photo CD I sold a few years back.
Elizabeth Sullivan and Karen White had the correct bonus answer also: Brown Avenue

Bring the whole family for a good old fashioned Potluck Dinner, visit with friends and neighbors and relax for the day.
