JV Lost 1-5
Varsity Won 9-8

Jimmy West (#10) slides safely into home plate following David Chester (#15) scoring on Kevin Phillip's bases loaded single in the second inning. This got the Cards within 1 run at 2-3, after Cleveland had scored 3 in the first inning of the varsity game.
Jonathan Beweley (#16) was tagged out just before he stepped on first in the 3rd inning of the varsity game.
The Collinsville JV players did some "yard work" after their game getting the field ready for the varsity players warming up down the line in right field.
Brad George (#6) couldn't back up quickly enough to reach this Cleveland hit in the JV game Friday.
Kevin Phillips (#4) gave up 3 runs in the first inning to Cleveland. He then held Cleveland scoreless in the 2nd and 3rd innings and drove in 2 runs for the Cards.
Johnathan Woods (#9 above) pitched several innings for the JV before Robert Briggs (#10) came on in relief in the 4th.
Catcher Ryan Coe (#12) waits for the pitch while Jimmy West (#10) holds the Cleveland base runner close at third base in the varsity game.
Josh Walker (#7 with his helmet off) is all grins after his solo homerun in the third inning got the Cards back even at 3-3 in the varsity game.
I left the varsity game after it was tied in the 3rd ... to get this page online and get back to the graduate pages. -- Ted 11:15pm Fri
