LOCAL EXECUTIVE EARNS CPIM DESIGNATION

Tulsa, OK (11/16/2004) – Michael Sirmon, 38, of FW Murphy Inc., was recently recognized as certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM). CPIM is a program offered by APICS – The Educational Society for Resource Management, a not–for-profit, international educational society representing manufacturing and service industry professionals.

Michael is currently the Warehouse Manager for FW Murphy in Tulsa, OK - FWMurphy is an ISO 9001 registered manufacturer providing equipment management, monitor and control solutions. FWMurphy is known around the world for its original SWICHGAGE® and TATTLETALE® products, as well as its engine and engine-driven equipment controls and monitoring systems.

To qualify for the CPIM designation, a candidate must complete a rigorous course of study and a series of five comprehensive examinations. Introduced in 1973, the CPIM program is designed to develop specialized knowledge in the latest production and inventory management techniques and trends. CPIM professionals can specialize in a variety of areas within the production and inventory management environment – including inventory management, Just – in Time, master planning, material and capacity requirements planning, production activity control, and systems and technologies.
