Construction continues on the new Walmart Distribution Center (between Ramona and Ochelata) just west of Highway 75 (including a new overpass over Hwy 75). I last posted photos in February 2004 and that page continues to attract searches to cvilleok.com ... and don't bother asking me (the email address at the bottom of the page) ... because I don't know about jobs there. -- Ted 11/29

Preliminary Collinsville Community Church Plans were approved by City Board of Adjustments Monday Nov. 29th. The approval was required for special exceptions and variance relating to setbacks and rebuilding in a residential zone. The new church will be built on the site of the church destroyed by fire in June 2004.

Many Community Church members came to the public hearing Monday Nov. 29th before the Collinsville Planning Commission's Board of Adjustments. There were no objections to the new church plan (as explained by architect Mr. King).

Progress on the new Fire/EMS building continues to be slowed by rain as shown in this Nov. 30th photo. (Previous coverage). Bids will be opened for the City Hall rebuild Dec. 1st.

Rain (& Thanksgiving holiday) has also slowed initial work on the new middle school building with not much changed since this Nov. 22nd photo.
