Tiger Cub Scout Den 5 toured the Newspaper Museum In Collinsville Monday evening March 8th, 2004. They got to see how newspapers were printed in Collinsville before statehood and the progression of equipment into the 1970s.
Mrs. Fain's 4th grade class from Herald Elementary visited the museum Tuesday March 9th. They have been studying Cherokee & Oklahoma history. They got to see how the type for The Collinsville News was set by hand more than 100 years ago. They are writing stories about their studies and may publish their own small newspaper with the results.
