Hogs ‘N’ Hot Rods Car and Bike Show

Collinsville’s Hogs ‘N’ Hot Rods is this Saturday, June 19, 2004. Classic and Antique cars will line Main Street as will literally thousands of bikes. Antique and Classic Cars will compete for first, second and third places in thirteen categories. (Dash plaques go to the first 200 entrants.) Two new awards are being given, including - Most Club Members - recognizing the car club with the most entrants, and the McGyver Award - pieced together from many things. Oklahoma State Representative, Mike Wilt will be celebrity judge for this years event. City dignitaries (including, Mayor Stan Sallee) will be on hand to mingle and join in the celebration. Bikes will compete for trophies presented by GreyBeard’s Bar and Grill.

This event is the largest fundraiser for Collinsville Downtown, Inc. a non-profit organization working to revitalize Collinsville. This event received the Oklahoma Main Street 2003 Premiere Special Event Award from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.

Antiques / Collectible shops and fabulous local restaurants will provide the local fare you often travel much further to experience. This year, thirty venders will be clustered among local merchants within the Festival area, making this car show one-of-a-kind. Vendors and arts and crafters, from near and far, will offer carefully selected items pertaining to this specialty event.

Every effort has been made to make this a fun-filled family event. A Kid Zone with seven giant inflatable toys will welcome young guests. A Giant slide, jumping room, and water thrills will keep the kids busy and happy for hours . All day- Wrist bands will be available for $10.00 each. That will cover seven thrills for the entire day. Two mature kid attractions will be available for a separate fee. (A little over the edge action for the bigger kids.) A Model Car show and Hot Wheel Races will be located in the American Legion Building at 9th and Main. There will be prizes awarded with five age divisions ranging from 4 through 18in the Model Car Show. Hot Wheel Races will be conducted in heats - just like the real thing!

Volunteers will staff the event and Tulsa County’s Sheriff Reserves will be on hand to assist Collinsville’s finest with large crowds, traffic flow and just make to ensure that everyone has a good time. Local EMS and Firefighters will be operating the First Aid Station and showing kids their Reserve Engine 2 Fire truck.

They will offer fenced parking for a small donation to benefit the MDA. Other parking will be available off of Main Street and the event area is comfortably within walking distance.

The open-air, air-conditioned, water-misted, Beer Barn featuring Budweiser on tap with live music and food -all day long will offer visitors a chance to sit and cool down. See and Register to win a 2004 Hummer I n the Beer Barn.

Car show registration will be from 8-11a.m. at East end of event area

Judging will be 11 a.m.- 4 p.m.

Awards ceremony will be 5-6 p.m.

Event will end at 6 p.m. when other parties and celebrations will just be beginning.

– presented by Rough Stock Riders Association.

– $500 added to Open Bull Riding

18 & Under Bull Riding; Open Bull Riding; and Special Event – Harley Davidson Arena Race.
