Collinsville didn't get a hugh snow, but things did get slick and messy Monday afternoon and evening (Jan. 26, 2004). This car slid off the Highway 169 exit at 146th St. N. on the east entrance to Collinsville.
Collinsville school kids got a day off from classes to keep them off the slick roads (Jan. 27th).
Didn't see any kids on the sled hill in the park Tuesday morning (Jan. 27), but it looked like it had been used a few times.
With temperatures in the teens and even single digits overnight Monday ... even the animals were looking for ways to stay warm. "Maggie" (Betty Wright's dachshunt) has crawled into several jacket sleeves recently in her quest for warmth.
With a bright sun and sanded streets there should be few reasons not to get out and vote today (Jan 27th) on the Collinsville City Charter change.
Yet another Main Street window was lost Monday (Jan 26th). A customer was across the street at Cribbet's when their car slipped into gear and broke out the window of Grandma's Trunk antique shop.
