Says Goodbye To Damaged Buildings. Plans To Rebuild (Again)
Church
members take one last walk around the buildings that will soon be removed to
make way for a new church building.
The
long time Community Church members (above) have seen the beginning and end of
this church building. Some of them also saw the fire that destroyed the first
church in 1933.
Rev.
LaVern Draper (current minister) with his wife, and Rev. Rick Brinkley (former
minister), led the members in a service and then a reflective walk around the
fire damaged buildings.
All
the members present for the farewell service pose for the last time with the
basic building that was completed and dedicated in 1948.
